After studying arts in college, Philippe studied in Paris at the International Institute of Multimedia. Between 2004 and 2008, he performed several live VJ acts (like this one) under the name VJ RIP at various psychedelic trance parties across France.

As an IT security engineer, Philippe worked for many companies in France, then he became IT Infrastructure Architect and Engineering Manager in a very successful startup in Paris. In November 2014, Philippe switched from his previous career to being a full-time artist.

Combining technology and art has always been part of his style and vision. His creations are colorful, highly animated and interactive, when possible. The leading concept of his creations is to actively bring powerful sentiments like joy, happiness and positive vibrations to the spectators who are either watching or interacting with his artworks. The interactive part is always very simple, as he believes this is the best way to communicate with an audience, even though the subjects treated are very serious and complex : burn-outs (L'Exutoire), narcissism (Narcissus Loop), gloom (Smile), introversion (Square Root Sine) and the stress (Keep Calm).

Philippe is also an expert of data visualization and open data. His work on mapping the Internet has been featured on the BBC TV series "The Beauty of Maps" and in many computer science exhibitions and books around the World.

Rather than talking about digital art, which includes a huge number of very different activities, Philippe prefers using Tech'Art in order to express the merger between the traditional medias (paintings, sculptures) and technology. The idea is not to raise technology as an art (even though this might happen at some point), but to use technology to create artworks that can be interactive and/or benefit from being "computerized". The technologies are only a mean expression like any other one, be it a material, a drawing, a mecanism or lights.
